Welcome to KJA. We wish to give your child a wonderful kindergarten experience, and to you as a parent a personal service.
As it is your child’s first day at school, they may take time to settle. We will do our best to make this time as comfortable as possible for them.
We offer a safe environment that caters for the development of your child in all areas (physically, emotionally, intellectually and creatively).
We have an open door policy at KJA, so if you have any queries regarding your child or our school, please do not hesitate to approach us at any given time.
We believe that a truly excellent education integrates opportunities to explore a variety of interests while developing a strong academic base. It is this combination of passion and purpose that creates children who are excited about learning.
All classes have a termly project; these projects are used to extend the children’s knowledge about the world around them.
During the first term part of our project for all classes is Celebrations, where we include and celebrate many festivals around the world, Diwali, ‘Eid, Christmas, Halloween, Guy Fawkes, and Hanukah.
Kabete Junior Academy has a long tradition of educating students and preparing them for what’s ahead; and we continue to prepare the next generation for what’s ahead.
Our Elephant class is the first class your child will encounter at KJA. We encourage all aspects of development for your child's physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs.
Your child now enters our reception class where they will spend the next three terms developing on going skills from the Giraffe Class.
They now start on word reading books, enhance their phonic and writing skills, mathematics , geography, history and science during morning class.
In Lion class we understand that your child's needs differ drastically from being age 2 so we do not combine the classes. As well as centering on the physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of your child.
In Giraffe class your child now graduates to the other end of school. They now start on basic phonics using the letters and sounds programme and recognition of numbers, reading and writing skills.
Hippo Class is KJA's key stage 1 National Curriculum class.
All the preparation to enter preparatory school should be completed by the time they finish Hippo Class. They extend further on reading, writing and mathematical skills.
